It is with great pleasure that Peace Train representatives presented a check to Uthango Social Investments for nearly 87,000 Lindens! Peace Train Engineers Tonks Akina and Siri Vita met with Alanagh Recreant and company from Uthango to deliver the Lindens. Official PeaceFest avatar PeaceFest Pevensey dropped by to transfer the Lindens. It is such a delight to be able to represent the generosity, good will, and hopes of all of you who participated in PeaceFest 08. More to come – we are now sorting out the details to establish a public charity, and through that organization we will be able to convert the rest of the Lindens and write checks to the remaining 9 organizations.

Congrats 🙂 Every L$ counts.
We would like to thank PeaceFest ’08 for your contribution to our organisation’s efforts inSL and yes, indeed! every L$ counts.
We have enjoyed being part of this event and hope to participate again in the future. Peace in Africa and the rest of the world does not come because we only talk about it with concern – but it comes because of shared understanding and action based on that very dialogue between diverse people. Second Life (R) offers a platform to extend conversations beyond closed rooms or open field – to virtual space, globally.
